The Professional Registered Nurses Honor Guard - Toledo, OH
Our Vision
The Professional Registered Nurse Honor Guard offers a spiritual final call to discharge our fellow nurse from their duty. This is provided by a recitation of the Florence Nightingale Pledge at the funeral homes, memorial services, or grave sites. This pledge was recited after the nurse completed their nurse’s training.
The Honor Guard has a lighted symbolic Nightingale’s lamp which represents the call of duty for the final time. The final call is completed when the candle is no longer lit.
This tribute is available for any active or retired nurse at the time of their passing in the Toledo Metro Area. This expresses respect, dignity, and recognition to the departed nurse, and provides peace to the grieving families and friends.
